Printing FAQ's
Platform/Software Supported - Macintosh: Indesign CS2; Illustrator CS2; Photoshop CS2; QuarkXpress 7,6
Fonts - Include all screen and printer fonts used in your file (don't forget fonts used in placed graphics).
Placed Graphics - Save images in TIFF of EPS format (don't use DCS format or save with screen angles or transfer functions applied). Scanned images should be 300 dpi at 100% scale.
Trapping - On conventional presses, a 0.3 trap is required. Digital presses have extremely tight registration due to the fact that the plates are imaged directly on the press and trapping isn't necessary.
Color - Work entirely in CMYK mode. Never use RGB! Our presses are 4-color.

Crop Marks - Use a 0.25 pt black line for crop marks if needed.
Bleeds - Bleeds should be set for 1/16 inch on each side. Anything you want to print to the edge of the paper must be set up to bleed.
4-Color Black - Define filled areas of black as "rich" 4-color black, such as:
C = 65
M = 53
Y = 51
K = 100
C = 65
M = 53
Y = 51
K = 100
Total ink coverage for rich black should be a minimum of 269%. Do Not exceed 350% for any element.
